I struggle with the diminishing benefits of my Amex Platinum card as they relate to the annual fee. But when given the choice, always choose Centurion because I’m assured of fantastic and delicious meal options, plenty of seating, exceptional service, good wine choices. I have access to the Admirals Lounge (DFW being the AA hub this is the best of the best in D gates) as well, also Priority Pass lounges globally and Delta lounges. We are all entitled to our own opinions and have our own standards of “excellence.” Having just finished an absolutely wonderful lunch, chicken, roasted vegetables and a mixed green salad with goat cheese and am now finishing a very good glass of Cabernet, I’m confused by some of the poor reviews below. I’m sitting in the Centurion Lounge at DFW as I write this. Attempting to enter the lounge I was told you could only enter the American Express lounge for departing flights! For a business that is supposed to be an elite service provider it seems they have found more ways to tell customers NO more than yes! Considering my monthly spending with the company! The card I am carrying in my wallet and racking up all these international charge on isnt worth #crap! There has been many other issues that has caused me to start using other cards! I am glad I added other cards to my wallet because American Express bill for me has just gotten smaller! Used my Marriott Bonvoy card for my stay this time! This was a first and a lost of a few racks next month for Amex! Glad I made the switch thanks #CenturionLoungeHouston The bar & kitchen was already closing and I assumed I would wait like normal for my ride at the lounge! This is the purpose of having a membership is to be able to wait in a more secluded area. 1st I hate the word NO and it seem American Express Centurion Lounge seems to enjoy telling people no! I have watched others get turned away and it seems the staff is always elated! As a avid traveler I have full access to many lounges and today upon my arrival into #IAHInternational I visited the club 25 minutes before closing.
